Trackside Podcast – So what is it all about ?
What is a podcast ?
In simple terms its like a radio chat show, but can be listened to at any time on a range of devices such as PCs, smart phones, tablets and the like.
You can either listen to it directly, from a web link or download from itunes to your device. With the latter it means that you can pause at any stage and then go back to it.
Quite a few modern cars allow for a usb link to your device, so that you can also listen to podcasts during road journeys.
It’s all free to listen to and download.
Members of the Trackside Podcast Team
The members of the podcast team all belong to Tonbridge Athletic Club -
Alex Hookway – runs for the club over a range of distances.

James Taylor – Distance runner with the club and is also a qualified official, mainly as a starter. He also teaches at Judd School, helping to manage their athletics and cross country teams.
Ryan Driscoll – Distance runner for the club, who has also attended San Francisco University on a track scholarship
Cathy Hughes - Works for Sport England, is now a director of the South of England Athletics Association and coaches at Tonbridge AC.
Aims of the podcast
To spread awareness of the sport, highlight news and personalities
To discuss the latest hot topics from within the sport, hopefully creating feedback and discussion
Overall to increase enthusiasm and knowledge of athletics and cross country.

We try and produce a new episode every two weeks, dependent on the availability of the team.
