Anne-Sophie Bremans sets new TAC women's indoor 800 metres record
Anne-Sophie Bremans broke the Tonbridge Athletic Club women’s indoor 800 metres record, when competing in Gent, Belgium on Boxing Day. Bremans is in the under 20 age group, so her time of 2.16.73, also improved that record by almost two seconds.
Bremans who boards at Sevenoaks School is a Belgian national, who has a wide range of ability and has competed well from 200 metres to 800 metres on the track. She has also run well in school cross country races this Winter.
Despite running well at the longer distances her emphasis is currently on an indoor season mainly at 400 metres.

I will also give Ian Crawley a mention, even though he is now a fully fledged multi-eventer, but has been a great supporter of the distance runners. Ian turned 60 in October and set a new TAC age record of 1.48.99 for 600m on Sunday.
