Chester Half Marathon, Sunday 21st May
Julian Rendall ran as part of the England Masters team in the over 45 age group and finished 24th overall with a chip time of 75.12, which is his best since 2019. Full results here -

TAC record from Lucy Reid !
Lucy Reid broke the TAC women's 10,000 metres record with 32.54.55 and finished 20th in the A race (8th in the British Championship). Nicole Taylor had set the previous best of 33.31.35, which was set in 2019.

All three gold medals came in the steeplechase events, from Calum Laing (senior), Charlie Ellison (u20) and Harrison Fraser (u17) all with personal bests. Calu also won. bronze medal in the 5000m, as did Lily Stewart who ran 59.75 over 400m, for her first sub 60 clocking.

Joseph Hunt won the u17 men's 3000m in a pb of 9.07.52. His twin brother Jacob finished 2nd in the 1500m in 4.15.73.
Ben Pearce finished 2nd in the 1500m with a big pb of 4.00.86.

There were a few from TAC competing, although the sprinters seemed to have the most success. Cold and very wet conditions meant times were generally slower than hoped for. Purdey Hutchings (u13) had her first race of the season and was only just outside her 800m pb with 2.35.22.

There were two from TAC in the middle distance events.
Noémie Thomson won the senior 1500m in 4.33.66.
Ethan Rocks finished 3rd in the u20 men’s 800 metres in 2.01.83.

Friday Night Under The Lights 5km Road Race, Battersea Park, Friday 17th March 2023
Lucy Reid had a good return to racing with a win in a fast time at Battersea Park in 15.52. This is a second quicker than Nicole Taylor's TAC record. Cameron Chambers ran 15.06 which is 52s quicker than his best ever at the distance, although achieved on the track.

Miles Weatherseed made it through to the men's final to finish 6th in this innovative event. it involved three rounds of races over a 2k go kart course, with some good prize money on offer. Results here -

TAC had 18 runners representing their county, although this is well short of the record at 36.
James Kingston followed up his National win with 7th in the senior Men's race, which was the highest placed TAC this century, beating Ben Cole's previous record of 15th. Alex Howard's 15th equalled the old best.
Verity Hopkins was 24th in the Senior Women's race and Matthew Dubery 19th as part of the winning Kent u20 men's team.\\
Ella Ayden had one of her best races as 66th in the u20s.

James West into European Indoors final.
Saturday
The European Indoor Championships take place from Thursday to Sunday and James West is in the 3000 metres for Great Britain.
